Improving Every School
Delegate Shetty and her husband have made Montgomery County home because we have some of the best schools in the world. As a parent of an elementary-aged child, Emily is passionate about ensuring that Montgomery County’s schools continue to live up to this standard.
As your Delegate, Emily was proud to support the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future and the Built to Learn Act which together made historic investments in our state’s public school system, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars of needed dollars to our schools, improving accountability, and providing needed capital to bring kids out of portables and into modern, safe classrooms.
In addition to supporting these important investments, Emily was the lead sponsor on legislation to protect our most vulnerable youth throughout our state, ensuring that all children have access to quality Child Advocacy Centers, and providing access to free child abuse detection, prevention and reporting trainings.
If reelected, Emily will continue to ensure that every Montgomery County student and school have the resources to provide a world-class education to all students.
