As a health advocate, Emily fights every day for a fair, equitable healthcare system at the federal level that benefits all patients. Like many in our community, she has struggled to afford medications and access healthcare when needed.
As a patient with a chronic autoimmune disorder, Emily is keenly aware of the importance of access to high-quality healthcare, and views universal healthcare as both a policy and moral imperative. If reelected, Delegate Shetty will fight for universal healthcare for all Marylanders, to ensure that every family can afford the healthcare that they need.
As your Delegate, Emily has been a leader on expanding access to telehealth at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, led the passage of laws that update our state’s organ donation rules, improved access to healthcare savings accounts and spearheaded legislation that have lowered the out-of-pocket costs patients pay at the pharmacy counter.
If re-elected, Emily will work to expand mental health services to young people, improve care coordination among providers to benefit patients, and fight to make our healthcare system more affordable and accessible for all patients.
